Refraction — Autumn / Winter 26

Six looks. One bolt of undyed herringbone, cut by one pair of hands — photographed once, before the cloth ran out.

Look IIBias-cut, unstructured shoulder

01The Turn

The
Turn

Cut on the bias so the skirt of the coat answers a half-second after the body does. The cloth is the choreography.

Look IIIDouble-faced, 780 gsm

02The Weave

The
Weave

Seven hundred and eighty grams to the square metre, double-faced, pressed once. Close enough to count the herringbone.

Look VHand-dyed cashmere, 4 m

03The Amber

The
Amber

The single note of colour in the collection — four metres of hand-dyed cashmere, folded twice. Forty scarves exist.

The atelier

We buy one bolt.
We cut until it is gone.
Then it is over.

01

One bolt

420 metres of undyed herringbone from a single Yorkshire run.

02

One cutter

Every garment passes one pair of hands in the Lisbon atelier.

03

One season

When the cloth ends the patterns are burned. No reprint.

The film,
frame by frame

All six looks, in shooting order. Run your cursor across a frame — the weave answers.
