The free Claude Code prompt

Run this with Claude Code to build your own Vanta variant — free. Want the exact, tested code shown in the demo? That’s the $69 download.

# VANTA — Free Claude Code Prompt

*From SmartDuke Studio (studio.smartduke.com). The exact tested build
is the paid download: https://studio.smartduke.com*

## Before you start

1. **Generate an FPV descent video** (~10–15s): starting in orbit /
   high altitude and diving continuously down into a city, ending at
   street level. Trim the end so it stops on a strong street-level
   frame.
2. All-intra encode:
   `ffmpeg -i in.mp4 -an -c:v libx264 -preset slow -crf 19 -g 1 -pix_fmt yuv420p -movflags +faststart public/dive.mp4`
3. Node.js ≥ 20.9.

## The prompt

> Build a venture-capital / fintech site around one idea: the scroll
> is a DESCENT from orbit to street level — "we go from thesis to
> ground truth." Void black, bone type, gold accent. Fonts:
> Instrument Serif (italic display accents) + Inter Tight.
>
> **Stack:** Next.js + TS + Tailwind v4 + GSAP ScrollTrigger +
> SplitText + Lenis.
>
> **Hero — the dive (500vh pinned):** full-bleed all-intra video
> scrubbed by scroll (lerp ticker gated on video.readyState < 2 —
> otherwise per-frame seeks abort the download and it never loads).
> Synced to the descent: typographic beats fading through at fixed
> progress windows (thesis lines timed to what's on screen — orbit /
> cloud layer / skyline / street), and a live ALTITUDE meter on the
> right: 420 km → 0 m, formatted with units switching (km → m), plus
> a thin fill bar. End the scrub on the street frame with the fund's
> one-line promise.
>
> **After the dive:** thesis section with SplitText line reveals;
> portfolio as INDEX ROWS (company / sector / stage / outcome — rows,
> not cards) with hover accents; one colossal stat (19vw numerals —
> e.g. fund size); a giant mailto CTA ("Pitch us the ground truth");
> minimal footer. Restraint everywhere: one accent, huge type, lots
> of black.
>
> Poster frame under the video until seekable;
> prefers-reduced-motion: skip Lenis + entrance anims.

## Gotchas

- The readyState gate on the scrub ticker is mandatory.
- SplitText masks clip text-shadow glows and long descenders — if you
  use a glow, split WITHOUT masks.
- Keep the altitude math a pure function of scroll progress so the
  meter and the footage never drift apart.

Can I use Vanta for a client project?

Yes. The $69 download includes a commercial license to use Vanta in one end product, including paid client work. Everything is config-driven, so copy, palette and assets re-skin from a single file.

What's the difference between the free prompt and the paid download?

The free prompt gets Claude Code to build you a Vanta variant — genuinely good, but it costs tokens and debugging time and results vary. The paid download is the exact site in the demo: tested, compressed, documented, licensed, with free updates.
